About Anna Garrett
about the author
Anna Garrett, growing up in Lakemont, Georgia, has always been captivated by the stories of the world around her, especially those whispered among the animals on her family farm. This early love for tales and adventures, nurtured by countless story times with her parents, blossomed into a passion for writing stories of her own, often starring her beloved pets.
Anna’s journey from a curious child to a storyteller was paved by her dedication to reading and education. After earning her Masters in Elementary Education from the University of West Georgia, along with gifted and reading endorsements, she spent over a decade as an elementary teacher, igniting young imaginations in Pre K through 1st grade classrooms.
In 2024, Anna decided to focus fully on her true calling: creating children's literature that resonates with young readers and encourages them to explore the world with curiosity and joy. When she’s not writing, Anna enjoys drawing wildlife portraits and spending time with her husband in Dahlonega, Georgia.
Anna Garrett’s stories are a tribute to her life’s loves: teaching, storytelling, and the simple joy of discovering the world through a child’s eyes. As she continues to write, her hope is to fill the bookshelves of young readers with tales that inspire, entertain, and spark a lifelong love for reading.
